The goal of the FLAMEL program is to integrate concepts and principles from computing, mathematics, material science, and manufacturing in order to accelerate and improve the design and manufacturing of new materials. This program focuses on an area known as materials informatics that aims to develop new approaches to materials design and manufacturing using data analytics combined with modeling and simulation.
Research themes include developing new computational approaches to accelerate the design of new materials and manufacturing processes. FLAMEL projects typically include one or more components of five interwoven research thrusts:
